    DECEIT

    OPENING
[One year after the events of Jurassic Park]

Ian Malcolm shifted in his chair as he tried to rest his bad leg against a support that had been set up for him underneath the table he was sitting at. While he was feeling much better after months and months of rehabilitation, his leg still wasn’t fully healed, thus causing somewhat of a discomfort for him. He fixed his leather jacket and ran a shaky hand through his hair. It was almost time for the live broadcast.

He was nervous. He wouldn’t deny it, though he hoped he wouldn’t exude a sense of nervousness when things got rolling. Despite being a world renowned ‘scientist’ (he preferred the term; Chaotician) this was the biggest stage he had ever been on. He had to hit his marks and prove to the world that John Hammond and InGen were nothing but greedy business men, with no concern for human lives. Or the lives of any living thing for that matter.

The studio lights brightened and the countdown to broadcast began, the producers voice was heard over the loud speakers, “Alright, we are on in five, four, three, two…”

The cameras began to roll as the opening music of ‘Larry King Live’ played in the background. Across from Ian Malcolm on the very familiar set was the man himself, Larry King. He was wearing his traditional, suspenders and thick rimmed glasses as he smiled at the camera.

“Hello, I’m Larry King and tonight we have a very special show for you. As your aware the criminal trial of American John Hammond, President of the InGen Genetic Research facilities located in Costa Rica, continues. Tonight we have two intriguing guests from opposing points of view, that are going to debate the facts of this case with us,” he gestured with one hand towards Ian Malcolm and the camera view cut to him, “With us in the studios this evening is renowned ‘Chaotician’ Dr. Ian Malcolm and joining us from Costa Rica via satellite, the Nephew of John Hammond and CEO of InGen, Mr. Peter Ludlow. Thank you both for coming on the show.”

Malcolm could see a television screen just off to his left that showed the satellite image of Ludlow. He was wearing a well tailored suit and oval rimmed glasses. His arrogant smile, flashed across the screen.

“Let’s start with Dr. Malcolm,” Larry King leaned forward on his desk, “Dr. Malcolm, I understand that you are an actual eye-witness to the events that took place on Isla Nublar last year. Could you please explain what you saw?”

“I’d be happy too,” Ian straightened himself in his seat, “What happened on Isla Nublar last year was not a uh…security failure…as much as it was a giant human error on the part of Mr. Hammond and his company. They neglected to take control of a dangerous situation and therefore, I believe, should be held responsible for the injuries and deaths of the many people that were on that island.”

“So your saying that the defense of InGen, which is that a Mr. Denis Nedry was responsible for sabotaging the security systems, is not a valid defense. Your saying there were people within the InGen company that may have had a hand in what happened?”

“No, that’s not what I am saying…” he paused and thought the question over for a moment, “Actually, I know for a fact that Mr. Nedry was responsible for the security failures that occurred and there was nothing at the time that InGen, specifically Mr. Hammond, could do to fix the matter. What I am saying is that Mr. John Hammond did not have the foresight to recognize the possibility of something like this occurring. I believe he needs to be held responsible for that…”

“Mr. King could I get in on this please,” Mr. Ludlow’s voice sounded over the loud speakers.

“Certainly Mr. Ludlow,” Larry King leaned back in his chair relaxing slightly, as he was not on camera at that particular moment.

“What we have here is a man, that is outraged at what occurred on Isla Nublar and I understand his rage. I am extremely upset as to what occurred as well. But what he is trying to do is lay the blame of these accidents on my Uncle and his company, which is absolutely ridiculous. They took every precautionary measure necessary to try and insure that this park would be safe. The true villain of this crime was Mr. Nedry. He paid with his life. Things should have been left at that…”

“You bring up an interesting point Mr. Ludlow, Mr. Nedry did perish on that island…but under unusual circumstances. The full report I have in front of me, states that he was one of the few deaths that were actually associated with some of the parks animals. Can you elaborate on that please?”

Ludlow smiled sincerely and stayed cool, “Of course Mr. King. As you know, the report clearly states that one of the parks main attractions escaped during the security failure and did attack a few of our employees. The rest of the injuries and deaths occurred, through other unfortunate incidents, such as the coupling attached to one of the electric fences that collapsed on several of our workers.”

“Yes, but what was the animal that attacked Mr. Nedry…and if I am correct Dr. Malcolm here was also attacked by this same animal…” He looked over at Malcolm.

Ian swallowed deeply and took a deep breath, this is what he was waiting for. “Yes, I was attacked by a ‘creature’ on that island Mr. King, but it was not the same one that attacked Denis Nedry…”

Larry King interrupted him as he flipped through the documented report he had in front of him, “That’s not what it says here Dr. Malcolm…”

“Yes, I know that but uh…” he tried to complete his sentence but Peter Ludlow interrupted him.

“That’s rubbish Dr. Malcolm, as it states in the report you were attacked by the same male African lion that attacked Mr. Nedry. As you know Larry, my uncle’s park was an enhanced version of the one he has in Kenya…and…” this time Malcolm interrupted him.

“That’s a lie, along with everything in that report. It was not a lion and those other ‘accidental’ deaths were not accidental. They were murders. People were murdered who threatened to speak out against the unsafe working conditions on the island…and I am hear to tell the world exactly what happened…”

“Dr. Malcolm! That is absolutely ABSURD. I take offence to those ridiculous statements, you have no proof and furthermore…”

“Now wait a minute Mr. Ludlow,” Larry King interjected. “Dr. Malcolm, do you have any facts to back up your claim?”

“Actually yes, I do…what your about to hear will shock you. But it is a 100% accurate description of what I saw on that island. As you know, InGen is one of the top Genetic Research companies in the world. Recently they uncovered…”

Ludlow shouted, “Dr. Malcolm, you cannot discuss our business in such a fashion! Need I remind you that you signed secrecy contracts on your trip to the island? You cannot divulge the sort of research we have worked on, my Uncle takes these things seriously and will prosecute you to the full extent of the law if you so much as mutter a word of what we were working on!”

“To hell with your Uncle, Ludlow. You want to know what I saw?” he stared hard at Larry King who was nodding, completely entranced in the argument that was taking place, “I saw dinosaurs Mr. King, genetically engineered dinosaurs that were created by InGen through faulty research and…”

“My goodness! I dare say you have gone mad Dr. Malcolm!” Ludlow laughed, “I thought you were really going to disclose what we were actually working on…you had me there for a moment Ian, you really did.”

Malcolm shouted as he stood from his chair in anger, only to fall back down due to immense pain in his leg, “I’m not mad! What I said was the truth, there are dinosaurs on that island and they are responsible for many deaths and many injuries…” he looked down, “including my leg!”

“Now Dr. Malcolm, you can’t be serious with this claim,” Larry King tried to calm things. He knew the discussion was getting out of hand and needed to get to a commercial break, “You do realize how outrageous your statement was don’t you?”

“Dr. Malcolm,” came Ludlow’s voice, “I know you had a traumatic experience on that island and I feel for you…but I think your claims are the result of an overdose on morphine! There are no dinosaurs, that is one thing I can assure the audience!”

Larry King laughed, “Well thanks for that assurance Mr. Ludlow. Why don’t we go to a commercial break for a moment and get back to this debate in a few minutes.”

Music began to play as the show started to break for commercial. Malcolm knew this was his last chance, “The world knows now Ludlow! They know! There are dinosaurs on that island and it will only be a matter of time before they are the cause of deaths again! Only a matter of time!”

“Christ! Get this lunatic off my set,” Larry King stood up. “Get him out!”

Ian Malcolm thrashed violently as he was dragged off set by a pair of security guards. He wriggled furiously until his leg made contact with a metal bar, sending pain jolting throughout his entire body. He cursed and then gave up his fight, it was over. He just hoped there had been at least a few people that believed his claim…that’s all he need…was just a few people…

Thousands of miles away Peter Ludlow walked back into his dressing room after completing his interview. The bloody fool really said it…He threw a glass across his room when he got inside. He knew nobody would believe Malcolm’s claim, but it was still an issue that needed to be dealt with. He couldn’t allow people making claims like that, what if Dr. Alan Grant or his assistant the paleobotinist started to support Malcolm on his claims. Then he would have a bloody mess on his hands.

    Malcolm needed to be silenced…Somehow…

    CHAPTER I
    InGen Goes to Court

John Hammond looked out of a small window that gave him a good view of the Costa Rican shoreline. A pair of seagulls swooped down out of the powder blue sky and landed on the sand in search of their next meal. It was a beautiful day, Hammond cursed. Instead of being out in the sun, or working on one of his beautiful islands he was stuck in this small, humid courtroom in Costa Rica.

The weather outside was warm, but things inside the court were even more heated. In more ways then one…The recent debates over the criminal case, regarding InGen and its negligence had turned into shouting matches. Hammond associated most of the flaring tempers with the warm weather. People were getting irritated, add the hot humid weather inside the non-air-conditioned court room and you had a recipe for disaster. So far things had gone in InGen’s favor though. The prosecuting side of the case was really having a hard time building a strong argument that Hammond and InGen should be responsible for the acts of Denis Nedry. John’s only concern was if Helena Robertson took the witness stand.

She was the former lover of Thomas Gordon, the man that had been ‘killed’ in an incident with Christopher Griffin (a Biosyn spy) that had occurred a few years ago. Hammond feared that her strong independent personality and communications skills might be able to have an effect on the jury.

What was ironic about the things she would most likely say, was what she would be claiming to be facts (and deeply believed were accurate facts) were actually lies. Lies that InGen had created in order to boost insurance claims. The whole irony was…what was possibly going to be used against them in court, was actually something they had conjured up themselves. At the time it seemed beneficial, but now Hammond could see that it had only hurt them.

Thomas Gordon was not dead. Helena Robertson did not know this. After the encounter between Griffin and Gordon, it was reported that both had died after falling from a waterfall in a heated battle. This was inaccurate. In fact, Thomas Gordon suffered minimal injuries from his fall. He had somehow found a way to miss crashing into the piercing rocks below the waterfall and was even able to swim to shore without assistance. Christopher Griffin was not as lucky. He suffered a severe injury on his fall, it was fatal. It was a gruesome death, but one he was deserving of.

Hammond had seen the photographs of his body and it was quite disturbing. The impact from the rocks had nearly lacerated the mans body in two. What was even more disturbing then that, was the fact that he had still been alive when InGen employees had found him.

Hammond shook his head in disgust as he thought back to the incident. Thomas, meanwhile had been treated for a gunshot wound to the chest and a fractured leg, but in order to compensate for the massive bankruptcy problems that InGen was experiencing, they had filed inaccurate claims.
Including false claims of death, Thomas Gordon’s being one of them.

Before the claim was filed, Hammond had personally made sure that Gordon realized he would be unable to associate with any family or friends for a long time and it was quite possible NEVER again. It was debated, but soon Gordon accepted the proposal and even helped with the reports. He was moved to a private location in Costa Rica, where Hammond owned property and was given a couple years to recuperate from his physical and mental injuries. Someday he would be working for InGen again…but that wouldn’t be anytime soon. Hammond knew this…

He sighed and now he was involved in THIS mess. The Costa Rican government had charged Hammond and InGen with Negligence, after several families of ‘dead’ employees complained to the government. So not only was he involved with this criminal case, but he knew that immediately after the outcome, guilty or not, he would be involved in some civil suits that were sure to be filed by the families. What a mess. This was going to take at least a year to solve and would definitely delay his plans for Jurassic Park. It was his goal to begin work on the island once more.

What was surprising about ALL of this, was the fact that there was no discussion about dinosaurs being on the island. Nobody knew. Remarkably, InGen had kept it a secret, throughout all the investigations. When questioned about the name of the park; ‘Jurassic Park’. They merely stated that the park would feature a section of automated dinosaurs and information regarding them and the authorities didn’t give it a second thought. And why should they?

The only person on the side of the prosecution that knew of the dinosaurs was Helena Robertson. This was another reason John was frightened of her, he doubted she would bring it up in court…because in all actuality the existence of dinosaurs had no relevance to the case. But nevertheless, he was afraid it might be leaked.

Just then the door on the far side of the room opened and Denis Scales, Hammond’s attorney stepped in and hung his hat on a rack near a bookcase. He walked over to Hammond.

“God how I hate lawyers…” Hammond muttered under his breath.

“What’s that Mr. Hammond?” Scales, a wormy man, asked. He looked very similar to Hammond’s former attorney, Gennaro. In fact, if Hammond hadn’t known any better he would have thought this was Gennaro reincarnated.

“Nothing Mr. Scales…nothing…” He sat upright. “So what’s going on?”

“Well, things are looking good Mr. Hammond. The prosecution only has one person left to testify, Ms. Robertson, but I am not too concerned about her at this time. I know she is an elegant speaker but the facts are on our side. I’m confident InGen will be found not guilty.” He smiled, Hammond recoiled in disgust, the man had the most disgusting teeth he had ever seen.

“Yes, well that is certainly good news Mr. Scales. Now if we can…”

At that moment Peter Ludlow burst through the far door. The same one Denis Scales had entered just a few moments earlier. “John, we need to talk.”

“Alright Peter, just a moment.” Hammond started to get back to his conversation with Scales but Ludlow persisted.

“Damn it John, we need to talk…NOW” he looked at the attorney, “Denis, get the hell out of here will you?”

“Yes Mr. Ludlow,” Scales had no backbone. He merely did what he was told, got up, grabbed his hat and exited the room.

Ludlow took the seat opposite Hammond and stared hard at him, “I just got back from my interview on CNN.”

“Oh that’s good, how did it turn out?” Hammond didn’t have a shred of interest. He yawned.

“Well, do you remember Dr. Malcolm?” he saw Hammond become a bit more alert, “He was on the broadcast with me and made a bloody fool out of himself.”

“You know…if there is one thing I hate more then attorneys, its Dr. Malcolm…he thinks he is some sort of…”

“John, just shut up for a minute will you? He told the audience in a live broadcast about the dinosaurs John. He made a bloody fool of himself and nobody will believe him…yet. But if we allow him to continue to make these sorts of statements we will be in serious trouble. Do you understand?”

“Yes, but doesn’t he realize he signed secrecy contracts with us?”

“Of course he does! But what good are those now? If we take him to court over it, then the world will know he spoke the truth…” he paused, “He needs to be taken care of John, along with everyone else that were on that island. We cannot afford…”

“Now Mr. Ludlow, what are you suggesting?” Hammond became deadly serious. “If Mr. Malcolm thinks there are people willing to listen to his outrageous claim then let him speak. I’m tired of hiding things Peter and I am not going to threaten Mr. Malcolm and then find myself in further legal battles. Do you understand ME?”

Ludlow stared in aw, it was the first time in a long while his uncle had stood up to him, “Yes John, I understand. I understand that you are willing to drive this company into a goddamn mud pit that we will NEVER be able to get out of…” he stood up, “If you don’t want to handle the situation, then that’s fine with me. Just don’t expect me to back you up when InGen falters John. Because I won’t. But I can guarantee you that when you’ve run it into the ground, I will be there to steal it from you and return it to its former glory!”

With that, he turned and exited the room. Slamming the door behind him. Hammond looked back out the window and saw the same Seagulls he had seen just minutes earlier. It seemed as though they had finally found something to snack on…

    CHAPTER II
    Helena Takes the Stand

Helena Robertson, dressed in a fashionable women’s suit with a business skirt sat patiently on the witness stand. Her long slender legs were crossed as she prepared to answer the questions of the prosecuting attorney. He was on her side so therefore the questions would be easy ones that she would have no difficulty answering. The attorney approached the stand.

“Miss Robertson, how are you today?” he started with a bit of small talk to warm her up.

“I’m fine, thank you.” She smiled politely.

“Miss Robertson, in what way did you work for InGen?”

She shifted in her seat, “Please, you can call me Helena,” she did this in order to make herself more ‘sociable’ towards the jury. If they knew her as ‘Helena’ they would relate to her more on a personal level, she was a very intelligent woman, “and I was Mr. Hammond’s personal secretary. I arranged all of his meetings.”

“So you were close with Mr. Hammond?” the attorney, Felipe Luciano questioned.

“Yes sir, I was…in terms of a business relationship. I will have to admit I do not know the man to personally, though I will have to concede that he is very much a gentleman.” She looked over to where Hammond was sitting and he nodded at her politely and smiled.

“How did you know Mr. Thomas Gordon?”

She waited a moment before responding, “Mr. Gordon was a close associate of mine.”

    “How close?”

    “Very.” She didn’t elaborate.

    “Lovers?”

    “That’s correct Mr. Luciano.”

Felipe Luciano paced back and forth as he continued to question Helena, “Can you tell us what happened to Mr. Gordon?”

“Well,” she swallowed, obviously upset about what had happened, “Thomas was security adviser for the animals at the park…”

“Excuse me for a moment, what animals were those?”

She looked over at Hammond, his eyes pleaded with her not to say what the animals really were. She looked away from him and back at the attorney, “African animals sir. Lions, Elephants…” She could see Hammond sigh.

“Alright, so Mr. Gordon was security advisor for the animals at the park. Was he involved in any way with the events that occurred last year in which Denis Nedry, overrode the security system.”

“No sir, he was involved in a previous incident.”

The attorney paused for dramatic effect, “So…there were other incidents even before the affair that occurred last year? Very interesting. What happened to Mr. Gordon?”

    “He was killed sir.”

    “How?”

“Thomas was killed after a battle with a man called Christopher Griffin, who breached security on the island in an attempt to sabotage the central command computer system. Thomas, fell from a waterfall and perished on the rocks below it…” he wiped a tear from her eye.

“Would you say that Mr. Hammond was responsible for this?” the attorney pressed.

“No sir,” she knew she shouldn’t have said that but it was the truth, “but I believe that InGen in general was responsible for the security breach and should be held responsible for the deaths that occurred because of it. In both instances. Not just with Thomas, but with the incident that occurred last year when Dr. Alan Grant, his associate and several other ‘guests’.”

“Thank you Miss Robertson, that’s all.” Felipe Luciano sat down with the rest of the prosecuting team. He had kept it short and sweet. He noticed the jury were mumbling to each other, hopefully the straightforward responses from Helena had done the trick.

The judge, who definitely looked Costa Rican with a bushy moustache and thick hair asked the defense if they would like to cross examine the witness. Denis Scales, accepted and stood before Helena.

“Miss Robertson, is it true that you and Mr. Gordon tried to keep your relationship secret from your fellow employees?”

Helena was caught off guard. “What does that have to do with anything?”

The Judge interjected, “I agree with Miss Robertson, Mr. Scales…please stick closer to what this trial is about.”

“Certainly,” Scales smiled revealing his disgusting teeth once more, “Miss Robertson…wouldn’t you agree that Mr. Gordon was just doing his job when he confronted Christopher Griffin?”

“Yes I would agree with that.”

“Then wouldn’t you also agree that he had taken matters into his own hands and should be somewhat responsible for his own death? Isn’t it a bit unfair to blame InGen and InGen alone for Mr. Gordon’s death.”

Helena thought for a moment, “I would agree that he did take his own life in his own hands when he confronted Mr. Griffin. But it is far too much of a stretch to say that InGen was not responsible. Had it not been for their lack of security on the island this would have never happened,” she then made the most compelling argument the jury had heard up to that point, “Perhaps it wasn’t their fault for Gordon’s death…but don’t you think that they should have learned their lesson for the next time? Instead of fixing the problem, they ignored it and because of this NEGLIGENCE, more people died a short time later.”

Everyone in the courtroom began to murmur. It had taken over 20 witnesses from either side of the debate to finally make the point of the prosecution. Hammond cursed, he knew she had just swayed the opinion of the jury. A few moments earlier he was convinced that his company would be found not guilty of negligence, but within a matter of seconds everything change. Exactly what he had feared had come true. Helena had made the best point of the entire trial.

Denis Scales was caught off guard as well, and after a few moments he decided to stop the questioning, “That’s all your honor.” He said, and sat down feeling defeated…
What was he going to do now?

The Judge motioned for Helena to leave the witness stand and take a seat with the prosecution, “Alright Ladies and Gentlemen, I think that will be all for today. Remember court will be in session at 8:00 am tomorrow morning.” He slammed his gavel down, “Court is adjourned until tomorrow.”

Immediately after his motion people began to file out of the building. Hammond, meanwhile, rushed to meet up with Helena as she exited the building.

“Helena!” he shouted as he limped towards her, he had left his cane inside the building.

She turned and faced him, “You know John, your not suppose to talk with me…”

“I know, but…” he searched for words, “I just want to say I’m sorry for what happened to Gordon. I know I haven’t expressed my remorse for your lose and its about time that I do.”

She nodded, but didn’t show any sign of warming up to him, “Thank you John.”

She turned to leave but Hammond stopped her, “Helena?”

    “Yes John…?”

“You were right to leave InGen…hopefully after this mess is over, I can repay your lose somehow. If you don’t take care of that in a civil suit anyway…” he laughed.

Helena chuckled, “I’m sorry John. Its not you…it’s the creeps that run the show behind you. They need to pay John. I’m sorry…” with that she turned and walked away, leaving John Hammond standing on the steps outside the courthouse.

    CHAPTER III
    Secret Operations

The small commando boat glided across the oceans rough water with ease. It was the middle of the night and nothing could be seen. Eight U.S. Navy seals hugged the boat as it flung itself forward towards the island directly in front of them. They all wore black wetsuits over black fatigues, once they reached the shore they would remove the wetsuits and leave them inside the boat.

All eight of the Seals had night-vision goggles and carried MP-5 semiautomatic assault weapons. As they moved closer to the shore of Isla Nublar, they could hear the thumping of helicopter blades high above them in the night sky. Even through the night-vision goggles it was tough to spot, but a Navy Blackhawk helicopter they called a ‘Seahawk’ flew directly above them. The helicopter was suppose to contain 8 Delta Force operators that were apart of this joint operation.

What they were doing was illegal. They had no jurisdiction over this area, the islands or anything remotely close. They were secretly being inserted onto the island which was closed down by the Costa Rican government earlier that year, too look into the possibility of another island that contained illegal cloning tools. Cloning was banned in the United States and in Costa Rica, but the Costa Rican government had turned a blind eye to the illegal cloning activities that the United States thought InGen were up too.

The purpose of this insertion was to find any sort of proof of illegal cloning on Nublar and if that wasn’t found then they were at least looking for documentation of a rumored second island.

They pulled up to the shore within minutes and heard the helicopter above head straight towards the heart of the island. The Delta Force operators were going to rope in on the main compound as the Seals advanced in from the perimeter. It was a tactical strike in case there was any resistance from forces on the island. Intelligence reports documented that there was no longer activity on the island, but the Special Operations forces decided that a combative insertion was still the wisest choice.

Gavin Stewart, a seven year Seal leapt off the side of the boat as soon as it hit the shore and ran up 15 yards onto the beach. He knelt down on his right knee and scanned the foliage in front of him with his MP-5 and then signaled back to the men behind him that everything was clear.

Four men held the perimeter as the other four changed out of their wetsuits, and then they switched places. Within one full minute they were ready to charge into the jungle and Gavin Stewart led the way…

Jason Marte reached for the fast rope on the helicopters port side as it hovered above the main compound. The pilot shined a spotlight on the landing area. In a matter of seconds Jason was on the ground and scanning the top of the building for any enemies. It took the eight men of the Delta Force team less then 30 seconds to reach the roof. The thunderous roar of the chopper above them sounded, making verbal communication impossible. Jason signaled for the team to move towards an entrance on the top of the building as the helicopter peeled off and disappeared across the black horizon. Everything was quiet. Strange sounds from tropical animals were heard as the team exploded the locks on an entrance and moved into the building.

Once inside they quickly found the main computers of the control center. Jason Marte turned to one of his Delta Force operators, “Commander Steers? Have four men search the rest of the building and get Lieutenant Murray to get some electricity in here.”

“Yes Sir.” He turned and gave out the directives and then turned back to Commander Marte, “Jason? Should I head outside and set a flare up near the rear entrance for the Seals?”

“Yeah, that would be helpful. They know the building but its going to be difficult for them to find it. A fog bank is rolling in.” Suddenly the lights came on and Lieutenant Murray’s voice was heard from around the corner.

“We’ve got power now sir. Want me to enter the mainframe?”

    “Go ahead.”

Gavin Stewart ran alongside fellow Seal, Ewan Jackson as they headed towards the main compound. Their rifles were held at chest level and they constantly scanned the area in front of them.

After ten minutes in the jungle they final reached the compound which was marked by a flare on the rear entrance. A Delta Force man greeted them.

“I’m Commander Steers, Delta Force.” He held out LEFT hand, making sure that his right one still had control of the rifle in his hand. Both teams were using the MP-5’s on this mission, it was a great tactical choice. Compact, lightweight and could be easily fitted with flashlights, silencers and night scopes.

Gavin Stewart accepted the hand shake with his left hand as well. “Pleasure to meet you Commander, I am Lieutenant Stewart and these are the Navy Seals.”

After a brief introduction, Commander Steers turned his attention to Ewan Jackson, “Commander Marte wants you guys to set up a perimeter around the building while we access the mainframe. It shouldn’t be too long before we get the information we need and get the hell out of here. You guys have a second boat coming in?”

“Yeah, it should be here within twenty minutes. Its only going to be manned by two Seals and they will take you to our next destination. By the way, do you have any information as to what island we are heading too?” Jackson’s face was covered by his night vision gear.

“No not yet, but we have a man working on it right now.”

Lieutenant Murray turned back towards his Commander. “Sir, your not going to believe this…come have a look.” He pointed to the screen as Commander Marte came up from behind, “They were working on cloning DINOSAURS sir.”

The Commander read the information on the screen, “I’ll be damned…does it say anything about them succeeding?”

Murray looked over several files and shook his head, “No Sir, all the relevant information has been deleted from the files. But I found the location of the second island. Its Isla Sorna.”

“Good, how long will it take us to get there?” He questioned.

“One hour sir, with good weather. But it looks like this fog might slow us down…Are the Seals here yet?” Murray closed the file he had been viewing and then shut down the computer.

Commander Marte radioed to Commander Steers, “Steers? Are the Seals here yet?”

“Yes Sir, they are and the extraction boat should be here in about twenty minutes. Do we have the information we need?”

“Yeah, were heading to Isla Sorna. We’ll be out in a minute.” He switched off the radio and turned back to Murray, “Alright lets get the hell out of here. We have a boat coming in twenty minutes that will take us to Sorna.”

Marte exited the building and met up with the Seals that had set the perimeter around the building. He waited for his men to arrive and then gathered all the Seals around him. There were 16 men in all and 2 more were joining them with the boat when it arrived.

“Alright men, I am Commander Marte. I’m in charge of this mission. Let me make one thing clear, Delta Force is in charge of the insertions and you guys are in charge of the perimeters and extractions.” He looked at the men around him, “We are heading to Isla Sorna to check up on a lead that we found just now on the mainframe here.

It seems like InGen was cloning dinosaurs, how the fuck they did it…I don’t know, but that’s not what we are going to find out. Our job is to find documentation of this and get the hell out. Understand?”

The men around him nodded and one of the Seals stepped up to him, “Commander Marte, I’m Lieutenant Stewart and I am the CO of this Seal Force.”

    “Pleasure to meet you.”

“Did you say dinosaurs sir?” he looked perplexed.

“Yes Lieutenant, that’s what the information stated though I am not sure if they ever successfully cloned one. When we get to Sorna I am sure we will find out all the information we need regarding that. Lieutenant Murray here says that considerable amounts of data were moved from this mainframe, which gives me the impression that it was moved to Sorna. These guys are suppose to be out of business, but there is a possibility we may meet some hostile fire when we arrive on the island. Hopefully we won’t” Jason Marte looked down at his watch, “Alright, looks like we should head out towards the boats. You lead the way Lieutenant…”

“Alright Sir,” he turned to his Seals. “Come on men, lets head back out. You heard the Commander we are heading to Sorna.”

    CHAPTER IV
    Dodgson Makes an Interesting Offer

Lewis Dodgson followed closely behind John Hammond as he walked along a busy Costa Rican street. It was about midday and court had been adjourned just after the prosecutions closing arguments. Tomorrow the defense would have its final say, but things weren’t looking good for the defense. It was becoming more and more likely that John Hammond would be convicted, along with several other InGen officials, of negligence.

He pulled his straw hat down further over his eyes, trying to conceal his face. He laughed inwardly when he realized he was using the same ‘disguise’ he had used when he contacted that fat fool, Denis Nedry a year ago. Today he was going to make an offer to John Hammond that he couldn’t refuse, a verdict of not guilty…for frozen embryos. How could Hammond refuse?

Dodgson stepped up behind Hammond as he bent over to examine a wooden sculpture that a vendor was selling on the side of the road. He tapped him on the shoulder, “You wouldn’t happen to have a match or lighter, would you?”

Hammond didn’t even look up, “Humph…I’m sorry, I don’t smoke. Filthy habit.”

“Oh come now John, couldn’t be anymore filthy then that repulsive Denis Nedry that you hired a couple years back,” he watched Hammond slowly turn to face him.

John Hammond looked at Lewis Dodgson and for a moment everything stood still. Lewis smiled and tipped his hat to Hammond, “Well, I’ll be damned…” Hammond muttered.

“How are you John? Been a long time since our two companies…spoke…hasn’t it?”

“You bloody bastard, you’re the cause of all this! I should strangle you right here!” Hammond’s face turned red as he spat through his teeth.

“Now, now John. Wait just a minute. Maybe I am here to help you out…hmm? Perhaps I felt bad for being partially responsible for this mess and decided to fly all the way down here to Costa Rica just to help you out,” He leaned his face downward and raised his eyebrows, “Have you considered that John?”

“To hell with you Lewis, that’s the biggest load of crap I have ever heard.”

Dodgson laughed and then shrugged, “Your right, I didn’t come here just to help you John. But I will tell you what…for the right price…I can make a conviction…disappear…”

Hammond narrowed his eyes and stared hard at Dodgson, “What’s that suppose to mean Mr. Dodgson?”

“Well, lets just say…if InGen suddenly decided to advance our research on the cloning of prehistoric animals and decided to give us frozen embryos. Maybe, the jury would decide that Mr. John Hammond and InGen were not guilty of negligence.”

“Is that a bribe Mr. Dodgson?”

“Of course it is! I’m not going to beat around the bush any longer Mr. Hammond. If you want a not guilty decision from that jury then just agree that you will hand over embryos to Biosyn, I can take care of the rest.” He lowered his voice, “Come on John, I know we have had err…disagreements…before in the past. But that doesn’t mean we can’t change it now. Lets just put it behind us.”

Hammond never took his eyes from Dodgson’s, “The answer is no Lewis. No. You have cost me millions in dollars and even more when it came to the deaths of my employees. Now leave me alone Mr. Dodgson.”

Lewis Dodgson shrugged his shoulders and held out his hand for a hand shake, “Well then…best of luck on your trial Mr. Hammond,” after a few moments had passed he realized that Hammond would not accept the hand shake, so he turned and walked away.

As he walked along the street he sighed, he knew Hammond wouldn’t have accepted the offer. Why did he do it then? Maybe it was because it was the first time that he was in control of a situation…Deep down the only reason he had spoken to Hammond, was to satisfy his own inferiority complex. He wanted Hammond to crawl to him on hands and knees begging for help. Obviously this was not what happened and this somewhat upset Dodgson.

Oh well, he thought. It was no matter. He never REALLY expected John Hammond to accept his offer anyway. Besides he already had a meeting lined up with another man that would definitely take him up on his offer…

    CHAPTER V
    Warriors of Modern Times,
    Predators of Forgotten Times

Commander Marte stopped for a moment and held up his left hand, to signify that everyone else behind him should do the same. They had arrived on Isla Sorna just a few minutes earlier, had stored the boats in some foliage along the shore and then began to make their way inland where they assumed they would find another compound like the one that was on Isla Nublar. A thick fog bank covered the island and they could barely see five feet in front of them…even with the night vision.

Marte stood and listened, he had heard a strange sound directly in front of his group. Silently he motioned for everyone to get down on a knee and raised his weapons sights, prepared to shoot at anything that moved. Despite being somewhat positive that InGen had never actually gotten around to creating any dinosaurs, he still had a nagging feeling in the back of his mind…He wouldn’t admit it to his men, but right now he was feeling a bit nervous.

After a few minutes on the ground, things seemed to be okay. Marte stood up and began moving forward again. Lieutenant Gavin Stewart came up alongside him. He spoke quietly, “What do you think we will find Commander?”

    “I’m not sure Lieutenant.”

    “Call me Gavin.”

Marte looked at Gavin and nodded, “Alright, you can call me Jason…but like I was saying, I’m not sure what we are going to find out here…”

The group continued to move forward until they reached a small river that ran at the base of a huge cliff. High above the cliff Marte could barely make out an aviary through his night vision and the fog. It was tough to see, but it really seemed to be an aviary.

He decided to ignore it and continued to move forward, “Alright men, we are going to follow this river…” he pointed to a boat that was on the other side of it, “If that’s there then it has to mean this river leads to some sort of compound. Stay close to the foliage along its banks, I don’t want anybody to spot us…and watch out for anything suspicious.”

Marte continued to lead the group as they made their way along the river. Through the fog, they could feel a slight drizzle. Every few minutes they would have to wipe their goggles just to make sure they could still see.

Suddenly a thunderous roar was heard from not far down the river. It was a deafening roar that caught the 18 men (they had brought the two boat commanders along with them) off guard.

They reacted on instinct and immediately formed a defensive position.

“Commander! What the fuck was that?” came a frightened voice. These men were trained professionals, trained in battle. They lived for battle, but none of them had ever heard anything like that before.

“I have no idea…” Marte turned to Gavin. “You want to go check it out with me?”

Gavin nodded and turned back to his Seals, “You guys stay here while me and Commander Marte go check this out. If we are not back in TEN minutes…come for us. You got that?”

One of the men nodded, “TEN minutes sir…good luck.”

Gavin didn’t bother to thank him, he just got up and ran along the river bank with Jason Marte. They were careful not to make any noise, their feet seemed to glide across the soft muddy surface as they searched for the source of the sound. As they moved about 200 yards down river, they could feel impact tremors. The surface of the river shook as the sound got closer.

Gavin pulled Jason into the foliage and they crouched, looking for the source of the impacts. They could both feel their hearts pounding almost as loud as the impacts themselves.

Then they saw it, a tremendously tall creature came out of the foliage on the other side of the river and stood sniffing the air. It was hard to see it completely through the fog, but it seemed to have a large snot and a ‘sail’ that ran across its back.

“Jesus Christ…” Jason was taken aback. “Are you seeing this Gavin?”

“Yes Sir…” He stared in awe.

Suddenly the creature roared, both men turned their heads away as the roar ripped through the silent night. The creatures head turned and looked in their direction and then sniffed again.

“Oh fuck,” Gavin raised his weapon and pressed the small button on the side of it, a laser sight appeared and he centered it on the creatures chest as it began to move forward. “As soon as that thing crosses the river, I’m going to send his ass back to prehistoric times.”

Jason raised his weapon too and prepared for a battle. As soon as the animals foot reached their side of the river, they unloaded dozens of rounds into it. It bellowed in pain, but instead of retreating it became furious and charged the two Special Ops men.

Gavin rolled to his right just as the creature crashed into the foliage with its long vicious mouth. He fired a burst of rounds that ripped into the creatures skull. But it continued to fight. Its long arms swung around, splintering a tree that was in its way, just narrowly missing Jason Marte who had found shelter behind a boulder.

The two men continued to pump rounds into the animal until it finally crashed to the ground, exhausted.

Within a few minutes it was dead. Gavin crawled on his stomach over to Jason.

“Holy shit…Holy shit…” he was breathing
hard as he came up along side the Commander, “You ok Commander? No injuries?”

“No I’m fine,” he ripped the night vision goggles from his face and laid his back against the boulder, “How about you Lieutenant?”

    “I’m fine…I guess…” he seemed in shock.
Along the near side of the river the they heard footsteps and immediately raised their weapons, prepared for more combat but they soon recognized that it was the rest of their Special Ops Force. Commander Steers stopped alongside the dead creature and whistled.

“You have GOT to be fucking me…” he looked over at where Jason and Gavin were laying, completely out of breath, “You guys alright.”

    They just nodded…

At that very moment, inside the main compound on that exact island former Force Recon operative, Major Anthony Lamont, sat watching security cameras. Their night vision lenses allowed him to monitor the island at night. Lamont was a big man, well built with dark black hair that was cut close and brown eyes. He leaned back in his chair and sipped a cup of coffee. So…he thought, the American government HAD been foolish enough to send a special operations unit onto the island.

He smiled, this is what he had been waiting for ever since he had been hired by Peter Ludlow to watch security on the island.

It was obvious to him, that the groups of what looked to be a Navy Seals Unit and Delta Force Unit, would try to venture into the main compound. When they arrived he would definitely have a surprise waiting for them. He shouted over his shoulder.

    “Greg, come here.”

A young man, no older then 25 years old with light brown hair and brown eyes, ran over and looked over the Major’s shoulder at the video monitor. “What can I do for you Major?”

“Get our security unit ready along the perimeter of the compound. Tell them we are preparing for an ambush against a penetrating enemy force. They have no more then fifteen minutes to be in position.”

“Yes Sir, I will give the order immediately.”

Major Lamont turned his attention back to the screen and sipped his coffee again, this was going to be one hell of a night. He closed his eyes and leaned his head against his chair…It had been a long time since he had been in battle. He had been dishonorably discharged from the Marine Corps Special Ops division, Force Recon, three years earlier when he was found to be in possession of heroin that he had tried to smuggle out of Kuwait after the Gulf War.

Since then he had gone freelance as a Body Guard, Private Investigator and Security Guard until he was approached by Peter Ludlow. Ludlow promised him the job would be a once in a lifetime experience…and he hadn’t lied. For the past two years, Lamont had been in charge of the human security element on Isla Sorna. He had been warned that

InGen believed the United States government might eventually try and send forces onto the island. His instructions were to eliminate any ‘foreign’ force that could infiltrate the island. But he never believed the day would come.

Tonight, however, that time had come and he would make sure the men that had trespassed on HIS island would not be allowed to leave it alive…

    CHAPTER VI
    And the Verdict is…

The Judge cleared his throat and carefully placed the stack of papers in front of him off to his left hand side. He looked out across the court room, meeting the gaze of John Hammond who sat nervously on the Defendants side along with several other InGen executives.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, today the jury will announce its verdict regarding the case of Negligence that was filed against Mr. John Hammond and InGen earlier this month,” He took a deep breath, “Before we receive the outcome I would like to make one thing clear. If the verdict is to be ‘Guilty’ then tomorrow we will have the penalty phase of this trial. So I will want everyone to arrive promptly at 8:00 am in the morning, including the defendants. I will stress again, that this is only if the verdict is guilty…Now, would the head juror please step to the microphone and announce this juries decision.”

A small man no more then five feet in height stepped up to microphone that was positioned near the jurors, he cleared his throat, “After a short deliberation, we the jury find the President of InGen, John Hammond and his executives to be…not guilty on the charge of criminal negligence…”

Immediately the court room was buzzing, people clapped…others booed. John Hammond sat almost dazed…his dream was still alive…

At the back of the court room Peter Ludlow smiled and looked over towards the exit, standing near the big wooden doors was a man in a straw hat. Ludlow nodded at him and the man returned the gesture. The man opened one of the big wooden doors and light poured into the room. He put on some dark shades and straightened his hat.

Lewis Dodgson then stepped outside into the Costa Rica sunlight and walked towards a black sedan that waited for him…

    CHAPTER VII
    A Bloody Ambush

Commander Marte moved up to the fencing and slowly peered around the corner over the center of the compound. Flood lights poured into the area making it seem like daylight. Jason pulled his head back around into the darkness and spoke with a quite voice to his troops, “Alright, here’s how we are going to do this…” he turned to Gavin, “My men will rush towards the building while you guys pull our rear and secure the area inside the fencing.”

“Alright, but that’s a lot of area for us to cover sir,” he squinted as he took a look around the corner as well, “Besides there might be guards on those walkways along the fence, did you see that?”

“Yeah but there is no other way through…” he ran his left hand across his face and took a deep breath, held it and then let it out, “Murray? Do you have a flash bang?”

Lieutenant Murray stepped up, “Yes Sir, I do…”

    “What about a smoke grenade?”

“I have that as well Sir…”

Jason leaned his back against the concrete wall that held the fencing, and slumped to the ground. He thought for a moment, checking the ammo in his weapon, “This is what we are going to do. Give me that flash bang…” Murray handed it too him, “When I say so, I’m going to have you three,” he pointed to three of his Delta Force men, “throw your flashes into different points inside the area and then we are going to rush inside. Then I want Lieutenant Murray and two others to follow us in and drop there smokes. One after another…understand? That way we can hide in the cloud of smoke after distracting the enemy…got it?”

The men nodded, “Good…I want the Seals to follow behind us, but to spread out along the perimeters of the fencing…Everybody ready?”

Everyone checked there gear, making sure everything was in place. If this turned out to be a firefight, they needed to be prepared. Everything needed to be in the right condition, or things could go to hell real fast.

“Ok men…lets fuck this place up!” Marte pulled out from the corner and tossed his flash bang into the middle of the compound. Followed directly by three more flashes throughout various tactical points inside the compound.

The group of Delta Force operatives formed a tactical line that ran through the middle of the compound as the smoke grenades were dropped, covering their entrance.

Immediately the crackling of gunfire was heard, the Navy Seals behind them burst around the corner and ran along the fencing. They were met by an array of gun fire. Gavin Stewart sprayed several rounds at a security officer tried to fire at him from atop the fencing, immediately dropping him.

As Jason Marte ran with his men towards the front of the building they were met by a bizarre of gun fire. Half the men dove behind a vehicle parked alongside a flood light for cover. Lieutenant
Murray was the first to be hit…a well placed round tore through the car’s body and ripped through his head. He dropped dead onto Marte’s lap. Jason quickly knocked the lifeless body off of him and returned fire. His red tracers, could be seen as he tried to pick off targets he couldn’t even see.

His night vision was not useful in this situation due to the flood lights.

“Fuck! Murray’s dead…” he looked over the hood of the vehicle he had used for cover and saw that two Seals were pinned down on the other side of the compound. Taking heavy fire from a turret on the upper level. “Somebody lay down some cover fire for me! I’m going to take out that turret!”

Jason, leapt out from behind the vehicle and removed one of his grenades from his shoulder strap. He immediately pulled the pin and tossed it onto the upper level as several of his men sprayed tracer rounds in all directions. He ran back to the car and leapt across the hood just as the explosion from grenade sounded.

The turret exploded, but he could see that a Seal had been hit in the chest. Blood was pouring from his back as he fell to his knees and collapsed onto his face. Marte turned away in disgust. They were being ambushed, someone knew they were coming!

Gavin Stewart moved along the fencing and saw the same soldier that Jason Marte saw, get hit directly in the chest…the only problem was, Stewart was a lot closer and was the next man in the assassins sights. He rolled to his right, just as three rounds hit the dirt in front of him. He brought his gun up to his eyes and leveled the sights at the man on the roof. A quick burst nearly ripped him in half as he fell of and crashed onto the ground below.

Gavin turned just in time to see a man leap down from the fencing with a knife aimed at his back. Another burst took care of that man. He dropped onto his left knee as a few tracers tore past him and hit the Seal behind him, “Christ!” he shouted. They were taking a lot of casualties.

Suddenly he felt a searing pain in his right thigh. A bullet had traveled inside the front of his thigh and tore through the back. Flesh and muscle flew to the ground as he screamed in agony.

Jason Marte saw this happen and shouted for two of his men to help Stewart to safety. But as soon as they ran out from behind cover they were shot dead. One of the bullets went right through the head of the soldier nearest Jason, ripped off his helmet and then landed in Marte’s shoulder. He yelped in pain.

His gun fell out of his hand. A few more rounds came in his direction and he was forced to dive away from his cover. Two of the shots hit his MP-5, destroying it. He reached for his sidearm. A Smith and Wesson .45, and took aim at the man who was shooting at him. A well placed shot hit right in between his eyes. Killing him instantly.

His shoulder was bleeding profusely, he needed some sort of aid, but he knew it was going to be a while before anyone could patch him up…He ran towards Gavin, who laid on the ground trying to hold his thigh together.

“Gavin!” Marte shouted as he reached his side, “You alright?!”

Gavin was going to respond, but his eyes grew wide as he reached for the knife he kept in a sheath around his ankle. With lightning speed he removed it and tossed it over Jason’s shoulder.

The knife spun through the air, before landing deep inside a charging enemies chest. The man gurgled some blood before he spat up some of his intestines and died.

Marte, tried to help Gavin up but that’s when the unthinkable occurred. A grenade landed just feet away from the two. Marte had to react within a matter of seconds…would he try to help Gavin and possibly be killed alongside him…or would he take care of himself…Gavin made the decision for him. In a moment of heroism he pushed Jason away and leapt onto the grenade. Taking its explosion in the chest.

Jason stared in horror as he watched Gavin’s body explode before him. Rage ensued, he lifted his hand gun and walked along the center of the compound, he was completely exposed, but he didn’t care anymore. He doubted anyone was going to survive the ambush. Three quarters of his team were already dead.

He walked along, shooting…shooting at anything that moved. He killed several enemies before he made his way to the man that had thrown the grenade that killed Gavin. The man was trying to fix his jammed weapon as Marte walked up to him. The man stared in horror and then slowly lifted his hands in surrender.

Jason smiled coldly and raised his weapon to the mans head…and pulled the trigger. The back of the mans head exploded as the round entered his forehead and tore out the backside.

That was Jason’s last round. He was out of ammo. He immediately removed his knife and sprinted over towards an enemy that was firing at one of his Delta men. As he leapt at the man he plunged the knife into his shoulder, causing him to scream and drop his weapon. With no remorse, Jason pulled the knife out and then slit the mans throat. As the man gasped and gargled for air and life Jason fell onto his back. He had lost a lot of blood from the wound on his shoulder…slowly the world around him began to spin. The lights that poured down from above seemed to form a tunnel of light, Jason surrendered to it and soon everything was black…

Major Anthony Lamont looked over the compound, bodies were littered everywhere and the stench of death was in his nostrils. He nodded his head in approval and then turned to meet his Sergeant as he brought a phone to him.

    “It’s for you Major.”

“Thanks,” he raised the phone to his ear, “Major Lamont…”

“Yes Mr. Lamont? This is Ludlow…I just now got your message. What happened?” He seemed anxious to find out what had happened.

“Nothing serious, Ludlow. We just had a small group of military men try and infiltrate the compound. But we took care of it…” he smiled as he stared at the dead bodies of all the Special Operatives.

    “Any survivors?”

“Not that we know of yet, but my men are looking.”

    “Alright, keep me updated Major.”

“With pleasure sir.” He shut down the cell-phone and walked back inside the building. He was stopped by a security officer.

“Major Lamont? I believe we have one survivor from the Delta Force Sir, he has a serious injury but our medical staff thinks they might be able to save him…should I have them work on him sir?”

“I am not a COMPLETE barbarian, officer…If they truly believe he can be saved, go ahead and allow them to…but if his condition doesn’t improve within the next 24 hours…shoot him…” he grinned sadistically.

He enjoyed death…in fact, he embraced it with open arms…

    CHAPTER VIII
    Hammond and Wu…

John Hammond sat drinking a cup of warm coffee on the porch outside the small restaurant he was having breakfast at. The cool air from the coast blew through his white hair, refreshing him. It looked as though it was going to be a wonderful day…He stared at the blue ocean as the waves crashed against the shore. Suddenly a voice came from behind him.

    “How’s the coffee John?”

Hammond turned around and to his delight, Henry Wu stood dressed in an island cotton T-shirt. He smiled and took off his sunglasses and Hammond offered him a seat, “Well how are you Henry? How long have you been in Costa Rica? Here, would you like some coffee?”

“No thanks John, I just wanted to stop by to say goodbye…”he looked out towards the ocean. “Oh and uh, congratulations on the outcome of your trial…”

“Well thank you,” Hammond put the cup of coffee down, “But what’s this about saying goodbye? You just got here…”

“That’s true, but I flew down here to tell you I am leaving InGen. I was just given a job at a University in California.”

“Now Henry, this can’t be true…” Hammond raised his hands in shock, “You can’t leave InGen Henry, you’ve worked with us for so long!”

“I know John, it wasn’t an easy decision. But I decided just a few days ago, that its just too much of a liability these days…besides Jurassic Park is finished and…” he was interrupted.

“No it isn’t Henry! No it isn’t! Its only the beginning, you saw the decision Mr. Wu. Not Guilty, that means we can get back to work on things right away. This time it will work out just find, don’t you see?”

“John,” Wu sighed, “You don’t understand do you? Its over…I’m sorry, but your dream is over…you need to wake up now John…”

Hammond went cold, those words pierced his heart. His dream…over? No, his dream was going to continue. Jurassic Park would open. Things were just delayed. That’s it…it was just a small delay…All major theme parks had delays. Things couldn’t always go smoothly, after all when Disneyland opened in 1962…

“John? You there?” Wu looked concerned. Hammond seemed to have froze in thought, “John?”

“Uh?” Hammond snapped back to the present, “What?”

“I’m leaving now John.” Wu got up, “It was a pleasure working for you. But I have to go…”

Hammond snapped, “To hell with you Henry! I don’t need you! I don’t need anyone…” he cursed as Henry Wu walked away towards a taxi that was waiting for him just outside the restaurant. When he reached the door, he looked back only once and smiled weakly at John before getting inside. Moments later the taxi disappeared around a distant bend in the road leaving a trail of dust behind.

John stared blankly at his cup of coffee and saw it ripple slightly as his nervous hand shook. Slowly his eyes gazed out towards the ocean. Nobody could destroy his dream. Nobody…
